WELCOME TO THE WHITING FAMILY COMMUNITY ON HOOSIER ROOTS

The Whiting Community presents my research on the WHITING family of Posey County, Indiana in the 1800's, tracing the heritage of my ancestor Clement L. WHITING (1831-1906) back through Kentucky and Virginia to Maxfield WHITING and Letitia JOHNSON. The DAVIS family, several of who moved on to Nebraska, are also included.

Much of the information presented comes from local histories. I am working at verifying this information with research of obituaries and county courthouse records.
